Welcome to Peshawar Zoo

Discover the wild heart of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at Peshawar Zoo—where nature, adventure, and unforgettable encounters come alive!

Peshawar Zoo, inaugurated on February 12, 2018, is the first zoo in Peshawar and among the largest in Pakistan, spanning 29 acres near the Pakistan Forest Institute. Managed by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Wildlife Department, it houses around 70 species, including lions, Bengal tigers, giraffes, leopards, and various birds and reptiles. Notable attractions include the Lion House, Leopard House, and a walk-through aviary featuring flamingos and pelicans. The zoo has also welcomed births of Indian leopard cubs and other animals.

It provides variety of recreational activities that delight visitors of all ages. Children can enjoy swings, camel and pony horse rides while adults can experience the thrilling 3D motion ride. Additionally a safari vehicle is available for a convenient tour of the Zoo's diverse wildlife exhibits.
